Since Toc H came to Australia in 1925 it has pioneered many community projects:

  • The Blood Transfusion Service.
  • The Royal Queensland Bush Children's Health Scheme.
  • The Junior Farmers Movement.
  • The Emergency Alarm System.
  • Youth Leadership Training Courses.

Toc H challenges members with a variety of community based projects enabling new skills to be learned, relationships developed and goals achieved with personal satisfaction through voluntary service.

The "Toc H spirit' flourishes. .Since the late 1980's Toc H has been running a National Youth Leadership Training Program for young Australians which has been acknowledged as being of a high standard and a valuable means of enabling young people to grow at both a personal and a community level.

Toc H Action Groups in Schools develop in students an understanding of community needs and provide opportunities for them to become involved in a variety of service activities while developing "people skills".

Branches of Toc H operate in their local communities helping, in many different ways, those people who slip through the welfare net.

Toc H Projects involve a mixture of young people -working together for a short time to tackle a worthwhile job in the community which is rewarding and lots of fun.

Toc H Camps for disadvantaged and disabled children provide activities, training and recreation for young people and an opportunity for the volunteer leaders to develop valuable leadership and interpersonal skills.

Toc H helps run a Student Accommodation and Support House in Adelaide which provides a caring environment and facilities for secondary school students who can not live This is a valuable service for homeless youth whose education would otherwise be at risk.

Today, anyone who has a willingness to share their friendship and serve the community around them is welcome to join Toc H.
