​Since 1925 there have been fifty-two Toc H Branches in New South Wales. Notable amongst the projects undertaken by Toc H members have been:

• 1925

  Tubby initiated ten members into Toc H in Sydney.

• 1926

  The Forster Lamp was placed in Christ Church Cathedral in Newcastle; Toc H Newcastle Branch was formed.

• 1927

  A Christmas Party was organised in Sydney for 300 children and 120 wives of bedridden men disabled in World War I.

• 1928

  Toc H members pioneered the Blood Transfusion Service – direct from donor to patient – in Sydney.

• 1931

  A club for homeless, unemployed and friendless men was opened at Milson’s Point.

• 1936

  Parramatta Branch organised a camp for 30 boys at Camden.

• 1940

  A Club for Servicemen was opened in Sydney.

• 1949

  The Changi Rushlight was dedicated in the Warriors’ Chapel in Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle.

• 1999

  The Toc H World Chain of Light was held in Christ Church Cathedral in Newcastle.

Much work was done with young people – mainly in Boys’ Homes and with young Aboriginal children. Members did practical things like making toys, building houses for people who were unemployed, gardening, running film units in hospitals and homes, and visiting people in hospital.
