Coungeau House – Coungeau House, on Queensland’s beautiful Bribie Island, is available for use by disabled and other disadvantaged groups so that they can have an affordable holiday by the seaside.
The General Members Branch includes members that live in Brisbane, but also helps to keep alive the ‘Spirit of Toc H’ for members from NSW (e.g. Orange and Newcastle), Canberra, and places in Queensland such as Millmerran, Toowoomba, Maryborough, Rockhampton, Townsville, Pittsworth and Bundaberg. Each year, its members give a bursary and a Toc H plaque to a trainee nurse from the University of Queensland who has shown dedication to his or her studies and is a caring and compassionate person.
Bribie Island branch members support Coungeau house and conduct a number of activities for the elderly, including a fundraising concert, and partnership activities with other organisations such as the CWA and the RSL Women’s Auxiliary.
